The wrong technology? But how can that be, the technology has not yet been tested by Cyclamax. And why the focus on the fact that the Cyclamax company is a new company? is it not commendable in these economic troubles that a company has developed so successfully? has no-one put thought in to how much money this will add to funds for the community, funds that are so badly needed, employment for the community. Look, I know everyone is against the idea of having a incinerator in Chesterfield but thats just because its your home town, if the site proposed was in Mansfield would you care- No. The UK needs to create a way to despise of our waste products. As suggested in the article above, there are other more greener ways to dispense of waste but they cost huge amount more to run and maintain than the type suggested by Cyclamax. I am a resident of uppernewbold, but im not ignorant of the greater good this plant will be used for.

Chesterfields Traffic infrastructure is dying, anyone who lives around here certainly knows when the M1 is closed!!!! Extra HGVs will kill chesterfield. Don’t think the firm will be best pleased when they find out how long they have to wait to get anywhere as it is!

I believe for a small cost you can publish the petition link and details of the proposals on facebook as an advert to bring this to the attention of the facebook community in the affected radius, its a good way of circulating the issue quickly to many people. I also wanted to query if this issue could be raised in the european courts as a human rights issue if passed. Surely it is the responsibility of the local council to safeguard the right of every adult and child in their community to live in a safe environment. I would expect that the proposer of this plant doesnt live in chesterfield or nearby and would object to it being installed on their own doorstep.

Whittington already needs a traffic calming system and no one can tell me that HGV’s from the plant going North will not pass through Whittington. There are too many HGV’s going through here NOW without any more.
